COLLATING The collation of completed index sheets into sets or packed into units of the same tab position is another service that can be provided. Once the index tabs are collated, they are ready to be collated with printed sheets. Most tabs are COLLATED into sets, or put into sequential order as they are to be used. If you plan to gather the tabs with other literature right away, you may prefer not to have them COLLATED. SIZES Our custom tabs can be made in a multitude of sheets sizes to fit individual needs. THE BINDING EDGE AND SHEET SIZE Custom tab can be made into almost any size. We will start with the binding edge, The BINDING EDGE is called out first for index tabs and for binders, The BINDING EDGE is the side of the sheet that is to be bound with other materials into any book or binder. EXAMPLES: A standard sheet size is 8 1/2" x 11". The binding edge could be either side, so it becomes critical to know which side you will use as your binding edge, For this reason we list the binding edge first, 11" x 8 1/2" or 8 1/2" x 11".   Page 6
